Ashford portrayed Paula Jones, the main role in Ryan Murphy's latest FX series American Crime Story Impeachment. The series is based on the scandal that brought Paula Jones Monica Lewinsky Linda Tripp as well as other main actors into the very first impeachment trial in the United States in over a century. For two seasons, she played a prominent role in CBS's hit comedy B Positive. It was created by Marco Pennette Chuck Lorre with the famous Linda Lavin Hector Elizondo Ben Vereen. Ashford, who is not familiar with Broadway has won two Tony Drama Desk Awards as along with Outer Critics Circle Awards in the role of Essie.
