Audrey Tautou

Audrey Tautou born Beaumont, Puy-deDomme France in August 9th 1976. She is the oldest child of 4 children. Her parents, who were a dentist and a school teacher, supported and encouraged her initial passion for drama and theatre. The initial goal of her to become a master monkey was eclipsed by her wish to learn about drama and theater. It was a quick rise in her career to become a well-known young actress. In 1998 after her studies, she was a participant in a French talent-scouting TV programme Jeunes Premiers that was supported by Canal+ and won Best Young Actress at the Beziers Festival of Young Actors prior to launching her acting career in earnest. Tautou was a member of the church as well as the Institut Catholique de Paris during her youth, however she has since gotten rid of these upbringings. In addition to her acting profession, she has also pursued modeling. She modelled for L'Oreal Mont Blanc, Chanel and has been referred as "The Chanel Muse". Apart from her acting career she is also interested in photography. The actress recently showed some photos at the Arles Film Festival under the name Superficial. Her photos are mostly about the spotlight and fame. The exhibit also includes an assortment of portraits of herself in addition. Audrey Tautou shot to stardom and global fame after her debut role as a lead character in Le Fabuleux Destin d'Amelie Poulain. Amelie was a worldwide box office film that received acclaim at awards galas around the globe. Amelie has been the most financially successful film that is French-speak in the US. After this huge success, Tautou starred in numerous films, which included British dramatics, such as Stephen Knight's Dirty Pretty Things and Jean-Pierre Jeunet's Un long dimanche de fiancailles. Tautou also appeared alongside Tom Hanks in Ron Howard's The Da Vinci Code directed by Dan Brown.
