Richard B. Cheney a distinguished public servant and businessman is vice president of the United States. Cheney has been a prominent name in Washington throughout his time. George W. Bush was the fourth president which he was a part of. Bush chose Cheney during the summer of 2000 as his vice-presidential running partner, commenting on Cheney's wisdom and judgment. Dick Cheney is a former Chief of Staff of the President. He also worked in Congress, and he was Secretary of Defense. Republicans as well as Democrats alike respect Cheney for his sincerity. Cheney is of the opinion that his work within his position in the Bush administration is to act as an honest and discreet advisor. Cheney accepted his appointment as Republican vice president that he would like to serve with a presidential candidate who is willing to work cross-partisan and to collaborate with their political adversaries with respect and in a common goal. Richard Bruce Cheney (born January 30th 1941) was the son Richard Herbert Cheney. His mother, Marjorie Lauraine Dickey had been married to Richard Herbert Cheney for over 30 years. At the age of 13, Richard Bruce accompanied his parents from Nebraska to Casper (in Wyoming, the State of Wyoming) where his father worked as the Director of the U.S. Department of Agriculture's land conservation districts.
